Description |

Network Server |
CodeMeter licenses can be used from other computers. Port 22350 is used for TCP communication and is entered in the Windows firewall. During installation it can be decided whether CodeMeter License Server is set up as a server in a network environment and the associated TCP port 22350 is used. In the default case, CodeMeter License Server is only available locally (local host). This function can be selected in the installer and changed at any time by calling the installer again. Alternatively after the installation this is also possible via: •CodeMeter WebAdmin The "Settings | Server | Server Access" page allows for setting up CodeMeter in server environments including ports. •Profiling (registry-entry) In the General section IsNetworkServer allows to set whether CodeMeter License Server runs as a network server in the network or not. Please note, changes will only take effect when the CodeMeter License Server service is restarted. This can be done via the Windows Services Management or in CodeMeter Control Center via the navigation entry "Action". |
WibuShellExtension |
This feature installs the WibuShellExtension DLL. Library, which associates certain file extensions with CodeMeter and adds context menu commands to Windows Explorer. |
User Help |
CodeMeter User Help The user help for the CodeMeter Runtime Kit is installed. |
Automatic server search |
For responses to a broadcast, port 22350 is used on the network client and server for UPD communication and entered in the Windows firewall. In addition, an automatic search of network servers is set as standard during installation. This is implemented by a broadcast via UDP (User Datagram Protocol) (it is only 'listened' during the server search until the end of the UDP wait time is reached) and the release of the associated UDP port 22350 for communication in the Windows Firewall. |
Remote access to WebAdmin
|
CodeMeter WebAdmin can optionally be set to allow remote access from other computers. Depending on the selected protocol, port 22352 or 22353 are used for TCP communication. This makes CodeMeter WebAdmin visible on the network and access can be allowed and set up. In the default case, the port 22352 is used for HTTP / TCP communication. In the installer this function can be selected and changed at any time by calling the installer again. Alternatively after the installation this is also possible via: •CodeMeter WebAdmin The page "Settings | Server | Server Access" allows for setting up CodeMeter in server environments including ports. The page "Settings | Basic | WebAdmin" allows settings that control local or remote access to CodeMeter WebAdmin, select the desired protocol (HTTP or HTTPS), and specify any required authentication data. •Profiling (server.ini entry) The CmWebAdmin service reads values from the CodeMeter service at startup. Among others also the parameter RemoteRead from the server.ini file. If you make changes, both services must be stopped before and restarted after the changes. Please proceed as follows: 1.Stop the services: CodeMeter service (service managent or via "CodeMeter Control Center | Action"). CmWebAdmin service (service management). 2.Open the registry. Press key combination [Windows] + [R] to open the dialog "Run". 3.Type command regedit and confirm using [Enter]. 4.Search for value [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WIBU-SYSTEMS\CodeMeter\Server\CurrentVersion]. 5.Set parameter in section [HTTP] RemoteRead to a value of 2 and save. 6.Restart the services: CodeMeter service (service managent or via "CodeMeter Control Center | Action").
